To all of my wonderful customers-
After having had great success opening and running birch as a retail shop for the past decade, it is with a hint of bittersweetness that I inform you that June 30th will be that last day of birch in its retail form.
I have decided to close the shop because I believe that I have accomplished what I set out to do. Opening birch was always a goal of mine. I am so proud and humbled that birch has become a destination flower shop and has been awarded The Best of San Francisco. I am ever so grateful to have worked closely with Vogue, Elle Decor, and Architectural Digest, to have become the preferred florist for several fashion houses and to have created so many memorable floral installations for world class artists, celebrities and local luminaries.
Having served not only as a retail shop but as a showroom for the past 10 years birch has enabled me to build an incredible clientele. I have had the good fortune of getting to know many of my customers personally and consider this one of the many successes of owning birch. Each one of you has enriched my life.
It is now time for me to take on a new set of creative challenges and make way for what is next: birch will become a design studio and continue to provide all of its floral services including daily deliveries throughout the Bay Area, corporate accounts, restaurant accounts, parties, events and photo styling. Branching out into creating a line of signature ceramic vases as well as taking on several photography projects, birch will continue to grow creatively. Side projects will include private workshops and pop ups at some of San Francisco’s most stylish locations.
Building birch has been an exhilarating journey, and I look forward to continuing this journey with all of you.
with the utmost gratitude,
